Our projects since 2021:

Heritage Concert Hall
Acoustic design for the reconstruction of a 500-seat concert hall based on historical surviving drawings. The concert hall from the early 20th century was designed in a Beaux-Arts / Neo-Baroque style, characterized by its grand chandeliers, ornate arches, classical symmetry, and richly decorated interiors.

Shiyuan Concert Hall
Full room acoustic design for the 1005-seat concert hall. The concert hall was to include a vineyard typology, with a 220m2 stage for a full
orchestra and adjustable canopy. The Concert Hall also include state-of-the-art projection for immersive events. The building offers rehearsal, recording and audio listening spaces as well.

Harbin Institute of Technology Concert Hall
Full room acoustic design for the 800-seat concert hall at the Harbin Institute of Technology. The concert hall was to include a vineyard typology, with a large 240m2 stage for a full university orchestra but with a ceiling height limited to 15m above the stage.

Concert Hall – (Confidential)
Acoustic design for a 1300-seat concert hall with flytower, semi-permanent orchestra shell and orchestra pit and a 450-seat flexible recital hall able to accommodate multiple seating configurations.

DeGeer Hall, Norrköping, Sweden
In collaboration with Efterklang
Acoustic design for refurbishment of 310m2 stage to modernize this 1379-seat venue and accommodate the symphonic orchestra.

Ulster Orchestra Rehearsal, Belfast
In collaboration with Irwin Acoustics
Feasibility study for the conversion of the Townsend Street Church into a permanent rehearsal room for the Ulster Symphony Orchestra.

Prague Concert Hall (Competition), Czech Republic
The design was developed in collaboration with the architects Christ & Gantenbein Architekten to proposes an 1800-seat concert hall anchored in the regional music heritage.

Varvstaden Conservatory of Music, Lund, Sweden
with Efterklang
Feasibility study to relocate the departments of Music, Arts and Theatre from the Lund University to a new 16,000m2 facility within the old ship building yard building. 2020 – 2021

Arboren Performing Arts Academy, Sweden
with Efterklang
Acoustic design of 300 seat theatre with electroacoustic system and rehearsal & practice rooms. 2020 – 2021

Shenzhen International Performance Centre (Competition), China
With Coldefy & Associés.
Acoustic design of 2,000 seat grand theatre, 1,000 seat concert hall in 35,000m2 facilities in the heart of Shenzhen city.

Bratislava Congress and Concert Hall, Slovakia
With Compass Architekti with Ian Ritchie Architects
Principal Acoustician for design for a 3,000-seat congress centre in the capital city of Bratislava. The main hall can be divided into 4 different smaller venues for parallel conference sessions or to welcome the yearly Bratislava Jazz festival. n 2020 – 2021

Principal Acoustician for a 400 seat concert hall, 200 seat contemporary venue and music school in Bolton, UK.

Vilnius Tautos Namaï National Concert Hall (competition), Lithuania
With Coldefy & Associates
Acoustic design for the 1,700 seat new Concert hall and 500-seat multifunction Concert hall.

Gstaad Concert Hall, Switzerland
Principal acoustician for 1,200-seat concert hall for the Menuhin Festival. Scope included room acoustics, sound insulation, noise & vibration control. Involvement from concept to commissioning. With Rudi Ricciotti Architectes and Philippe Warrand in 2013 – 2019

Ba’oan Grand Theatre, China,
Principal Acoustician for a 1600-seat opera house and 600-seat multipurpose auditorium. Construction completion is expected in 2021. With Rocco Design and Kunkel Theatre Consultants in 2013 – 2019

HKUST-SHAW Multipurpose Auditorium, Hong Kong SAR, China,
Principal acoustician for a 1,000 seat concert hall. Scope included room acoustics, sound insulation, noise & vibration control. Construction completion is expected in 2021-2022. With Henning Larsen Architects and TheatrePlan in 2015 – 2019.

East Kowloon Cultural Centre, Hong Kong SAR, China,
Principal acoustician for a 1,100-seat proscenium theatre with orchestra shell and pit and a 600-seat thrust stage auditorium. With Rocco Design, LCSD and TheatrePlan in 2009 – 2019

Chengdu Urban Concert Hall, China
Principal Acoustician for a 10,000-student conservatorium of music and performing arts including a 1600 -seat opera house, 1400-seat concert hall, 800-seat drama theatre, 300-seat recital hall with cSCEc and Kunkel Theatre Consultants in 2016 – 2019

Changsha Meixiho Opera House, China
Principal acoustician for a 1,800 seat opera house (with Shell and pit). Scope included room acoustics with Zaha Hadid Architects and Kunkel Theatre Consultants in 2012 – 2018

Principal Acoustician for 1,600-seat opera house and 600-seat drama theatre with cSCEc in 2014 – 2017

Jiangsu Grand Theatre, China
Principal acoustician for a 1,800-seat opera house (with Shell and pit), 1,500-seat concert hall and 800-seat drama theatre. With ECADI in 2013 – 2017

Philharmonie de Paris, France
Acoustician for 2,400-seat concert hall. I was responsible for the design development in schematic and detailed phases, project documentation, construction supervision, commissioning and handover. With Ateliers Jean Nouvel, Métra Associés and Ducks in 2007 – 2015

Tianjin O-Show Concert Hall, China
Principal Acoustician for 1,600-seat concert hall and 400-seat blackbox theatre with Ducks and P&T in 2013 – 2015
